Back to work...

This past week I had to leave Ainsley for the first time for more than just a couple of hours. I went back to work Wed. to wrap things up at school. We were grateful Freddie's mom could come and keep the kids. They had a lot of fun with her and it was a huge help!

Smiles...

Mommy finally in a picture with Ainsley.

Nanny took some good pictures with the kids.

She looks like she wants to laugh so bad.

Nanny and Ainsley.

Freddie looked out the window and saw this... the things Grandparents do for their grandkids.

This was earlier in the week. Freddie went out to mow the yard and found a rabbit nest. He caught one of the little rabbits to show Evan.

Look how tiny!

Let's end with another SMILE!

Fun Sunday!

Okay, be prepared for LOTS of pictures! We had a busy Sunday and I took a lot of face pictures of Ainsley trying to capture her different expressions. She makes a lot of cute faces in the morning after she is all rested. I also have several pictures of Evan from a birthday party he went to at the park.

She kept watching her mobile even though it was not moving.

Smile!

Another good one, but I didn't get it in focus.

See, I do have a neck! lol.

Big yawn!

I love this face! She looks like she is being mischievous.

Oops! We lost the neck again!

Evan attempting to hold Ainsley (really the pillow is supporting her).

Daddy trying to catch the smile.

All ready for the party in a Summer dress.

And then she slept the entire party.

He can FINALLY swing himself after trying to teach him since August. And he did not even learn it from us, he learned it at school!

He is SOO big and grown up now! STOP growing so fast!

Yay, a smile!

I should be cleaning, but instead...

I wanted to share some of Ainsley's progress so far. She just turned 6 weeks yesterday! She looks like she is older than that- to me at least. Since she was born, she has been able to smile occasionally, but not very easily. Now, she smiles all the time and it just melts my heart because it is so pretty! I give her a big grin and she gives one right back! And she is starting to make more sounds.
I am very blessed to have the job I have and be able to stay home with her. I am excited to have Evan home for the summer in a few weeks, but also scared. I say scared only because I will be running on much less sleep. Ainsley and me sleep until late morning each day and she naps ALL the time. Evan never slept as much as she does. I have really worked with Ainsley on getting her to put herself to sleep some and for the most part it has been working out ok. On the other hand, she is a bad snacker. She likes to snack and sleep; therefore, she is wanting to eat smaller meals more frequently.
I am already looking forward to her starting to roll and sitting on her own, but we still have a little while. She is getting pretty strong and holding her head up well.

On another note: I plan to venture to the movie theater with Evan for the first time this Sat.! I plan to take him on a mommy/son date to see Shrek: The Final Chapter. He has only been to the theater once with my Dad right after Ainsley was born. And from what I hear, he did ok. We will see!

Ainsley at 3 weeks...my how she has grown!

Freddie says this picture describes Evan's personality perfectly! And he claims that Evan was trying to do his "wolverine" hands here from X-men.

He is so grown up! I love him!

Busy, Busy.

Evan and Ainsley are doing great! Ainsley looks like she has gained a few more pounds! And Evan has a new ride! We have had a pretty busy weekend going on over here. The whole family went to the science dept. end-of-the-year fish fry. Everyone got to see how much Ainsley has grown since they first met her 2 weeks ago. Then Friday, I took both of the kids with me to an annual garage sale some of the ladies at my work have. Evan found himself a red mustang convertible power wheels. It was a good deal, so I took him back Sat. to go pick it up. We had to get a battery for it, but until we did, he would go outside just to sit in it. We also had a nice visit from Freddie's dad and Rebecca. And finally, today, we are expecting a visit from my friend Emily and her kids. They are going to get to meet Ainsley.

Below are just a few of the tons of pictures we have been taking lately. Most of the pictures I take of Ainsley are of her sleeping.

This one of Ainsley was taken this morning. She usually sleeps later than us. I took this picture to give an idea of how chubby she looks!

Evan's car.

I made him pose with the car.

The other day I was having a mini photo shoot with Ainsley trying to get a picture of her smiling in her sleep. I never quite caught the smile in time.

Last Sat. I started putting Ainsley in her crib for her naps. She is doing so good!

Look at that chubby face!!!

The other morning, I woke up around 10:45 and Ainsley was still sleeping. I took her night clothes off and changed her diaper without her waking up until 11:30!

Happy 1 month!

Happy 1 month to Ainsley!

How is it that 9months feels so long, but yet, time flies with your kids? Makes you stop and truly appreciate how precious time is.
Ainsley has officially outgrown some of her newborn clothes and has really plumped up these past 2 weeks. I do not know where those cheeks came from.
She is such a good, sweet baby. She only cries when when you don't feed her fast enough (but you can see that she is hungry quite often). She sleeps good and is so laid back.
Evan has been really good with her. He loves her so much...its like he has a present to come home to everyday! He wants to give her a hug and kiss every night before he goes to bed and every morning before he leaves for school. He is such a good big brother to her.

Here is Ainsley's 1 month picture.

You can not see all that hair that is on the back of her head, but it is there!

A little play time before my nap.

I took this picture yesterday to show how much she has grown in 2 weeks. She got this outfit from Martha and Mallory and 2 weeks ago it fit loosely. Maybe my dryer just shrinks stuff ;).

Sleepy girl. We went to visit mommy's work and I was tired when I got home.
