Storytime at the Library!

Poor Evan has started getting rather bored at home. With it being so HOT outside and me not being able to keep Ainsley outside, Evan has started getting stir crazy and asking to go to school. So today I looked up events at the local library and found that TODAY they were doing a storytime hour. Someone reads a few books, plays some songs, and the kids get to do a craft.
Evan did really well and seemed to have fun. Here are a few pictures from my phone.

The craft was a train picture magnet.

What else is new?! Ainsley did not even know we went anywhere since she was asleep the ENTIRE time.

All done! Look how good he did!

Father's Day Weekend in Minden.

So this weekend we went on our 2nd trip with Ainsley. It was a busy, busy weekend. I could definitely tell that she did not like being off schedule. Evan of course had fun, and cried because he had to go home with us :(

This first picture is the one taken the weekend before with my parents.

Ainsley got lots of love from all of the family. She also got to meet her cousin Baylee.

So there were two of these pictures, and I thought the one with her smiling was a better pick than the one Freddie had his eyes open :)

All 3 of the grandkids. How sweet!

They love playing together!

The whole family, minus Baylee.

Unfortunately...

So this past weekend was Ainsley's first trip. She did really well considering she was thrown out of her normal routine. We took the kids to my parent's house, but unfortunately we had a lot going on and did not take pictures. The only picture I know of with either of the kids was taken Sunday at lunch with Ainsley sleeping on my dad. I will have to get it and post it sometime soon. Evan got to swim a lot and Ainsley got to go to her first wedding. Poor little thing did so good despite how hot she was since it was an outdoor wedding. My family got to see that she definitely likes her sleep! They were both so tired that they both slept the entire ride home. We will be out for another trip to Freddie's family this next weekend... hopefully, they do just as well!

I do have some pictures so that the post is not SO boring and is a little worth reading.

I don't remember if I have already posted these first two pictures, but I think they are cute and show how different Ainsley can look from picture to picture:

Look at the CHUBBY forearms!

This is a picture of Ainsley from after we got home from our little trip.

A little sibling love!

Note: the bow says 'little sister.' Our hairdresser made the bows for us and she happened to make one that matched this onsie I bought.

Evan's Memorial Day Visit.

Evan spent Memorial Day weekend at his Nanny and Grandaddy's house. We were not very emotionally prepared for him to go since it was spare of the moment. We missed him a bunch, but he had tons of F-U-N! Here are a few pictures:

Evan swimming with his cousin Skylar.

Can you believe that they are only 5 days apart in age?!

The 3 cousins: Baylee, Skylar, and Evan.

All of them swimming.

Playing with Uncle Josh.

Playing with Grandaddy. Poor Evan is the smallest even with Baylee who is a year younger.

Happy 2 Months Ainsley!!!

Happy 2 months to Ainsley!!!
I took her to her 8 week appointment on Wed. morning and the Doctor says she still looks great!
She weighted a whopping 12.2 lbs., which puts her in the 90th percentile (Evan was always 50th percentile or lower for weight).
She is in the 50th percentile for length and 95th percentile for her head.
She is smiling and cooing a lot. She will roll from her side to either her stomach or her back. She is getting very strong and holding herself up pretty well as seen below. And the good news for me, every few nights she will sleep about 6 hrs. straight!
Evan still goes crazy over her!
I have been telling Evan for years he has to stop growing, because he is growing up on me too fast. Well, now I tell Ainsley that she cannot grow up since Evan won't listen to me!
