Happy 8 Months Ainsley!!!

Tomorrow, my little girl will be 8 months! I cannont believe it. It only feels like I was just going into the hospital to have her, and that she should not be crawling and standing already!

What she is doing now...

Ainsley has definitely taken off the last month. And by that I mean she is on the move! I guess that means I really have to up the baby radar and child-proofing. She pulls up everywhere she can. She crawls into different rooms. She is trying to cruise around some furniture.
We are still having a little trouble with the baby food. She is somewhat resistant to eating much. Ainsley is extremely stubborn when it comes to her eating habits (I wonder where that comes from?). She will only take a bottle from me or some baby food when it is warm- and that is not very often. I am fortunate to still be able to mostly nurse her. We have just recently switched to formula at daycare and just nursing at home.

One of Ainsley's favorite things at the moment is water bottles! If she spies one across the room, she is determined to get it somehow.

Ainsley will bang on everything and started spitting with her tongue this past week.

This is a picture of the very first time I watched Ainsley pull up. It was with my cell phone so it is not that good. She was just sitting there playing and then all of a sudden stood up.

This was the first time Ainsley got to sit on her own in the buggy without her carseat. She loved it!

Oh sibling fun at Sams. The benefits to the big buggy...my question is how long will it workout? You can already see what the future holds with Evan... :)

Since baby food is not working so well, we figured try real table food, like a french fry! She seemed to do ok with sucking on it.
I did not get pictures at Thanksgiving, but that was a first real taste of table food. She sucked on a little ham and ate a small bite of mashed potatoes and gravy.

I am a pro at the standing now!
First bath in the big bathtub!
And she loved it!

Pretty girl!

Hey mommy!

I love him!

My Little Blessings.

The kids from our Fall Family pictures. I wish time would stop right now...so they can stay these sweet little angels forever. You cannot even tell, but Ainsley had been home sick that day and was running a fever from a flu shot she had also gotten that day. These were taken at 6 1/2 months. Ainsley had just started sitting. She is now crawling and pulling up.

Happy 7 months Ainsley!!!

Ainsley turned 7 months yesterday! We spent her 7 month birthday walking around LSU during LSU tailgating. And then we watched the game back at our friends house. She has been sick recently, so she has been trying to recover. Ainsley weighed in at 16.1 lbs. at her last doctor appointment around a week and a half ago. She is still not really in to eating baby food, yet. She is still nursing, which we have now surpassed our goal of nursing until 6 months. Now, we will try 8 months! She has made her first crawling movements, but she is not full-on crawling around the house. She is definitely mobile though!

I love my kids!

Ainsley is now on all fours and moving around really well. She can scoot, but not crawl. She gets up into crawling position, but she can not figure out how to move her arms forward. She just started this week moving from sitting position to her belly and back to sitting position. And you can tell she is so proud of herself when she does it...she just gets this huge grin on her face like she has accomplished something! Ainsley is also getting really good at grabbing toys that she gets in her sight. Evan carries this clear backpack around with all his "favorite" toys (which is everything). When he puts that bag near her, she gets so interested and goes for it. I love how she is now getting to an age that they can kind of start to play together. Evan loves being able to sit with her and play with her. He also loves it when she gets his toys just so he can laugh at her and tell her she can not play with it (a glimpse into the near future of them fighting over stuff). Here are some pictures of them playing with the toys from his bag. They were taken with my phone so they are not good quality.

FALL...my FAVORITE time of year!

Fall is my favorite time of year! Or I should say Fall and the holidays! Here are some pics of the kids at a small pumpkin patch we went to for a pumpkin. It was really hard getting Ainsley to look at the camera. She kept wanting to eat the pine straw from the ground. There was a small attempt to get a picture of the two together, but I quickly gave up on that. Soon I will be adding pictures of the kids in their Halloween costumes! As well as, some family pics that we took this past week.

Happy 6 Month Ainsley!

Ainsley turned 6 months Wednesday! She is already half a year old. I still have a hard time wrapping my head around that! I took Ainsley to her 6 month check up on Monday and she is now in the 50th percentile. She weights 16.6 lbs. and is 25 3/4 inches. She has started babbling so much now. She sits pretty well and can do push ups. She will definitely be crawling soon with how much she is practicing and trying. She already scoots on her belly. We have also started feeding her a little bit of fruit each night and she is starting to like it.

My Beautiful Children.

I love my two beautiful kids! I thank God for them all the time. Life would not seem near as fulfilling without them. Here are just a few pictures of what has been going on lately. And lately, sure has been busy.

Ainsley is 5 1/2 months. She now has TWO bottom teeth that have come in part way. She is sitting supported and trying to sit on her own as seen below. I think in a few weeks her balance will be improved and she WILL be sitting. The thought of this makes me sad only because time is going too quickly. She should NOT be almost 6 months and NOT almost sitting by herself and NOT pushing herself up like she wants to start practicing for crawling! She definitely does not prefer to roll, but she has done it a little more lately. She is just ready to sit and crawl! Also, Ainsley had her first taste of cereal and fruit.

Evan went on his first hunting trip at 4 in the morning with Freddie. He got to wear camo and ride in the boat. They did not see any ducks though.

All tuckered out after an early morning!

Evan being his usual silly self. He was sitting on the top of his race track and I told him I wanted to take a picture, and then he kept trying to flash the camera. I kept telling him to stop and was able to get a picture before he got his shirt all the way up again.

Happy 5 months Ainsley!!!

Ainsley is 5 months old today, and with each month I get sad at the thought of how fast time is going. It definitely feels faster with the second one. It seems like only a month or two ago we were in the hospital with her.

She is such an easy baby, it still blows my mind. We took the kids out yesterday with some friends to go shoot some skeet and she sat out in the heat with me while guns were going off and never fussed. We put some of those ear plugs in her ears hoping it would not be so loud and she never acted like it was a problem and she ended up falling asleep.

I seriously think that she is against rolling around. She can roll both ways, but rarely does it. Instead, she wants to practice sitting or pushing herself up. We have also found a tooth that feels as though it is about to come in. I guess it is almost time to stop nursing.

Ainsley has entered that "I love my feet" stage!

She wants to be up and crawling so bad.

I love, love, love this picture!!! The start of the LSU season with my family! We need a good LSU outfit for Ainsley. And this picture of her makes me think, "uh oh, what is to come?! lol!"
She has a look like she is going to get everything she wants.

Happy Birthday Evan!!!

Happy Birthday to my sweet little boy!!! He is 4 and I can not believe it. In a year, we will be walking him into kindergarten. Ahhh!
I could not imagine being at this point in life and not having my kids. You learn more about love than you have ever known once you have kids. They teach you so much about love, joy, humility, and selflessness. Life would be pretty dull without them. Any hard time is overshadowed by all the good ones.

A picture with the Birthday Boy and Ainsley after church.

Birthday Boy and Ainsley (how great is her smile there?!)

I put a series of pictures of Evan over the years on his birthdays.

This first picture is the picture the nursery took of him in the hospital.

He is so tiny.

After a bath around 3 or 4 months old.
