My 2 Angels.

Here are a few recent pictures of the two kids. This first group is a sample from a newborn photo session that I had a local photographer do. Ainsley did so well! Im shocked we got her to fall asleep, because she was wide awake when we got there. I cannot wait to see the rest.

I had to get a picture of Evan with his tiny little smoothie. I think the tiny cup is so cute. Anytime we get a smoothie, they pour the extra in a cup for him- he loves it!
The last pictures were taken the other day. We received a package with a toy for Ainsley, and when I walked into the dining room, I saw Evan fitting himself perfectly inside the box. Oh the little things that amuse kids.

Ainsley sleeping the other morning with mommy.

All tuckered out.

YUMMY!

Little Miss Piggy.

I will have to add a picture later to this post, but I took Ainsley for her 2 week check-up today. She gained almost an entire POUND!!! She is now 7 lbs. 15 oz. I knew she was looking a lot bigger. The Doctor definitely emphasized that she was getting plenty to eat when I expressed my concern that she might not be. Although, the girls who do the measuring were some how a little off since she grew an inch and a quarter last week and then was back to her birth length today. That does not quite add up so maybe she did not gain THAT much.
Again, he said she was perfect!
She was so good at the appointment and again when I went back with Evan. She slept through his entire appointment- even through his tantrum.
Unfortunately, we have to try to keep them distant from one another. This will be very hard for him since she is still the greatest thing to him.

Meeting Ainsley.

My Dad and Martha came to meet Ainsley this weekend. We had a good visit and Evan got to play a lot with them.

Evan loves taking pictures, and he LOVES being near Ainsley.

One Week Old!

I will probably be blogging much more since I will be home with Ainsley. Maybe not during the summer when I have both kids on my hands.
These first two pictures are comparing Evan and Ainsley. The one of Evan is not as good of a representation of how close they look.
The last three pictures are just some recent ones of Evan.

Ainsley had her one week check up today and the Dr. said she was PERFECT!!! No jaundice and all else looks good. He does want to see her next week since she is not back up to her birth weight.
Birth weight: 7lbs. 4oz.
Weight at discharge: 6lbs. 13 oz.
Weight at 1 Week: 7lbs.

Evan seemed to have lots of fun at all the grandparents' houses. He we to the park several times, went and saw his first MOVIE at the theatre, and caught his first FISH! I do not think he really wanted to come home except to see Ainsley. So far, we are not seeing any sibling jealousy. Hopefully, it wont be too bad. He is very proud of Ainsley and always talks about how happy he is she is here and how much he loves her.

Evan, who was born with just a little more hair than Ainsley.

Pulling up his first fish!

So proud!

Ainsley is here!

Ainsley Powell Hunt arrived Tues. April 6 at 8:22 am. She weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. (one ounce more than Evan did) and 19 in. (2 in. shorter than Evan was). She looks a lot like Evan did when he was born. She definitely has a strong appetite, unlike her brother. She is a pretty happy, calm baby so far as long as she is not hungry. Evan is such a proud big brother! He has not gotten to be around her much yet. We will see starting tomorrow night what it will be like handling two kids! Here are just a few pictures:

Easter Eggs.

We took Evan to meet one of his friends today at the park for an annual Easter Egg Hunt. It seemed like he had fun, although it was hot and during his lunch/nap time. Here are a few pictures: (they are out of order)

Evan ready to head over to the playground after hunting Easter eggs.

Showing Daddy all the eggs he found and trying to start at the candy.

His little friend Abby. I think this is such a good picture.

All done.

The next post should be the first post introducing Ainsley. Hopefully, I will get to it by the end of the week. T- 3 days!
